Cedarbrook Roars Into the New School Year With a PBIS Kickoff Event

photos of students at the event(September 2, 2022) The Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) team at Cedarbrook Middle School kicked off the new school year with a school-wide assembly on September 1. The assembly consisted of teacher skits, a rap performance from Mr. Rose, Ms. Atwood, and Mr. Herring, as well as games and activities to set the tone for Cedarbrook’s PBIS Initiatives for the 2022-23 school year.

Students had the opportunity to earn “brook bucks,” redeemable at the school store, for participating in games and activities that outlined the tenets of the “Wildcat Way,” also known as R.O.A.R. (Responsibility, Outreach, Achievement, Respect).

Cedarbrook’s past PBIS initiatives have been tremendously successful, meeting the fidelity standards for three consecutive school years. The Pennsylvania Positive Behavior Support Network will recognize the school on November 30, 2022, and award Cedrarbrook the state’s Tier 1 recognition.
