17th Annual Blue and Gold Night

blue and gold teams(March 8, 2023) The 17th annual Blue & Gold Night this past Friday started with the classic obstacle course. For over four hours, students cheered on their teams as participants competed in events such as crab soccer, team handball, powerball, steal the bacon, and tug of war. In a close one, Blue won, 84-79.

The blue and gold art committees worked together to commemorate this year's themes: Blue Monopoly vs Gold Candyland. Congrats to the blue team art committee for winning this year's mural competition.

The CHS Skills for Life class worked with general education partners (from Panther Partners and unified sports) to compete in their big event. A fantastic time was had by all and the best part was hearing the thunderous roars in the crowd for the unified teams!

The drum-off did not disappoint! The CHS drummers energized the crowd with their battle-style competition. Both teams gave a great performance, but the teamwork involved in drumming upside-down won points for the blue team.

The blue and gold dance teams began practicing their routines in December in preparation for the highly anticipated dance competition on Blue & Gold Night. The dance captains choreographed and taught their teams a dance for each of the three rounds. The teams had the crowd on their feet, but ultimately blue won the dance competition.

Ms. McKenna, Mr. Toran and Ms. Cruz, and the Blue & Gold committee would like to thank everyone who helped make B&G 2023 a success!
