CSD Celebrates MLK Jr. Day of Service

students (January 17, 2023) Students, parents/guardians and staff from across the district participated in service projects on Monday, Jan. 16 as part of the annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service. 

Elkins Park staged a walk-a-thon to benefit Laurel House. More than 60 walkers participated. Photos. 

Myers students, parents and guardians created nearly 300 packs of toiletries to benefit the Ronald McDonald House. Photos.

Students from CHS participated in a toiletry drive benefiting a local homeless shelter. Photos. 

Wyncote conducted a stuffed animal drive and students wrote messages to those receiving the donations. Photos. 

Glenside Elementary students, parents and guardians created more than 300 snack bags to support families whose loved ones are at the Ronald McDonald House. Photos. 

CBK students and elders in the community participated in MLK Day Chat & Chew to discuss the legacy of Martin Luther King Jr. Students also participated in a blanket and sleeping bag drive and a food pantry drive. Photos. 

Cheltenham Elementary will be collecting food for JUMP Food Cupboard through January 27.
