PBL Students Working with Arcadia Artist-in-Residence
(December 1, 2022) Muralist Amir Campbell, this year's artist-in-residence with Arcadia University’s Public Art program, recently visited CHS to kick off a collaboration with the senior Project Based Learning cohort. The seniors have been conducting a photojournalistic exploration of the CHS community, using portraits and interviews to capture and document the complexity of the school’s student body.
The goal of their project is to deconstruct the use of the term “diversity” as merely a signifier of racial demographics, moving people towards a more holistic and authentic understanding of who Cheltenham is as a community. The result of this collaboration will be an exhibition of the seniors’ large format portraits in the high school’s lobby.
