CHS Scholars Earn Recognition as Top Performers in Pennsylvania on 2021 PSAT

DAndrea and StudentsOctober 7, 2022) CHS seniors earned recognition as top performers in the state for their scores on the 2021 PSAT. The students were recognized on Thursday afternoon with cupcakes from Georgetown Bakery, courtesy of CHS Principal Jimmy D’Andrea, as well as a certificate to commemorate their accomplishment.

Kai Bosniak was recognized as a National Merit Scholarship semifinalist. Semifinalists scored in the top 1% in Pennsylvania on the 2021 PSAT. More than 4.5 million high school juniors took the PSAT last year, and only 7,500 National Merit Semi-finalist were selected. (See related story>)

Charlie Sywulak-Herr, Diana Ahrens and Mark Rutkowski received letters of commendation for their performance, which saw them land in the top 3-4% of scorers in the state. 

The National African American Recognition Award is an academic honor for academically exceptional African American students who scored in the top 10% of the state on the PSAT and have a GPA of 3.5 or higher. Aliyah Snead, Hayat West-Ingram, Johanna Jarvis, and Stephen Osiemi all earned this honor for their outstanding academic achievement.
