Kameron Leigh Matthews, MD, JD.

Kameron Leigh Matthews, MD, JD CHS Class of 1996 alum, Kameron Leigh Matthews, MD, JD., earned a medical degree from Johns Hopkins University and law degree from The University of Chicago. Dr. Matthews is a board-certified family physician and serves as the Chief Medical Officer of Mile Square Health Center at the University of Illinois at Chicago, overseeing thirteen primary care sites.

She is the recipient of many awards including the 2015 National Medical Association Council for the Concerns of Women Physicians Emerging Trailblazer Award, the 2015 National Association of Community Health Centers Health Professions Education and Training Award, and the 2015 Congressional Black Caucus Foundation Health Braintrust Congressman Louis Stokes Public Health Advocate Award.
