Jackie Hinchee

Jackie Hinchee CHS Class of 1979 alum, Jackie Hinchee, joined the U.S. Navy in 1982 and served 21 years as both an Airplane Structural Mechanic and member of the Military Police. Jackie participated in the Gulf War Desert Storm and in Operation Iraqi Freedom. While in active service she was deployed to Mississippi, Maine, Alaska, Hawaii, Diego Garcia, Okinawa, Spain, England, Philippines, Portugal and Italy. In 2003 Jackie joined the Cheltenham Police Department. After three years in the Patrol Division, she was named School Resource Officer. Jackie currently serves as the Police Department's School Liaison Officer, supporting Cheltenham School District, Wyncote Academy and Bishop McDevitt High School. In 2006, she received the American Heart Association's Life Saving Award for actions taken after a CHS student collapsed during gym class. In 2015 Jackie received the Vocational Service Award from the Rotary Club of Glenside for outstanding and dedicated service to the community and recognition from the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office for outstanding support and service to the youth of Cheltenham Township.
