Marching Panthers Wrap Season, Finish Seventh at Cavalcade of Champions

band Performing “Bent,” the Cheltenham Marching Panthers finished their season Saturday at the Cavalcade of Bands Open Class Championship at West Chester, finishing seventh out of 13 squads. The 11th-seeded Panthers scored 87.1 points - seven points behind first-place Cinnaminson (N.J.) High School - and beat their seed by four spots competing in the Independence Open Class. Highlights included finishing second in field music (18.7 points) and percussion (190.00). The Panthers faced teams from Pennsylvania (Blue Mountain, Columbia Borough, Dieruff, Lackawanna Trail, Littlestown and Pennsville Memorial); New Jersey (Clayton, Sterling, Glassboro, Haddon Heights and Cinnaminson); and Maryland (Chesapeake) in the competition.
