High School Stages Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing November 22-23
A cast and crew of 30 CHS students is set to tell “Much Ado About Nothing,” William Shakespeare’s classic comedic tale of romance, trickery and revenge, in which friends scheme to bring a couple together, while breaking another couple apart set against the backdrop of a “merry war” of wit between its protagonists. The production also incorporates popular music and dance!
The cast includes Rose Fevrier (Leonato), Maggie Morrison (Messenger/Watchman 3/Sexton), Venus Agbadan (Beatrice), Ariella Whyte (Hero), Sydra Minkoff (Don Pedro), Koen Kaschock-Marenda (Benedick), Aisling Pembroke (Don John), Grace Dugan (Claudio), Ava Angelettie (Balthasar/Friar Francis), Kai Bosniak (Antonio), Ethan O'Hara (Conrade), Miles Fodor (Borachio), Nya Paulection (Margaret), Hannah Koval (Ursula), Andrew Marcus (Dogberry), Tsehay Poindexter (Verges), Jaylin Rollocks (Attendant/Watchman 1) and Naomi Guth (Attendant/Watchman 2/Pianist). Stage manager Lauryn Walton leads the crew of Hope Birnbaum, Maddie Bower, Scarlett Boxer, Janet Cho, Marisa Decker, A Dillon, Maya Elston, Elena Giacoletti, Peter Hilliard, Summer Quillen and Saarah Waheed.
Performances are Friday, Nov. 22 and Saturday, Nov. 23 at 7:30 p.m. in Stretton Hall at Cheltenham High School. Tickets are $5 (students) and $10 (adults), and are available at the door.
