Senior Harrier Janelle Williams Claims Second Consecutive Conference Crown

Suburban One League American Conference Championship Clocking in at 19:05.7, senior cross country runner Janelle Williams won her second consecutive  Suburban One League American Conference championship at Lehigh University this past Friday. Sophomore Zoe Matsinger finished seventh (20:34.60) for her first league medal and senior Katelin Jorge (21:09.20) was ninth, while the team finished third with 62 points.

Seniors Chinyelu Ojukwu (23rd place - 23:04.60) and Sarah Neulight (25th place - 24:22) rounded out the Panther scoring. The squad’s one through five split was 5:16 and they averaged 21:39 on the Lehigh’s Goodman Campus cross country course.

Williams won the 2018 conference title in 19:14 and finished as runner-up in 2017. This weekend at the districts at Lehigh, she’ll be working toward improving her 13th place finish (18:45.90) at the 2018 District 1 Class AAA Championship and her seventh place finish (18:57) from 2017.
