On May 10, the Cedarbrook WildClefs, Jazz Band and Chamber Orchestra performed at the High Notes Music Festival at Elizabethtown College. The ensembles performed at the highest level and earned the rating of “Superior,” respectively. The judges were impressed with each group’s musicality, technique and professionalism.
After a thorough warm up by a lake, the chamber orchestra performed for the judges and received the highest score in orchestra director Matt Hoy’s 10 years at CBK. After the performances, the students enjoyed a well-earned day in Hershey Park.
At the festival, two adjudicators evaluated the groups’ performances and provided a written and audio commentary, along with a numerical rating. The recorded audio comments serve as a clinic when played for students.
