Cheltenham Elementary Students Mark Arbor Day

CES Students Celebrate Arbor Day Music teacher Michelle Fella Przybylowski and select Cheltenham Elementary second graders celebrated Arbor Day this past Friday at the Rowland Community Center. The students learned about the importance of trees and shared paintings they created inspired by Thomas Locker’s “Sky Tree.” The students sang songs inspired by nature and played various instruments to showcase their musical talents.

Started in America in 1872, Arbor Day celebrates individuals and groups planting trees. Today, countries across the globe recognize the holiday, and though usually observed in the spring, the date varies depending on climate and suitable planting season.
