CHS Symphonic Band Performs at Temple Festival

CHS Symphonic Band On Friday, April 26, the Cheltenham High School Symphonic Band performed at Temple University’s annual “Festival of Winds,” a non-competitive, one-day event sponsored by the Boyer College of Music and Dance Band and Music Education Departments. The event emphasized performance and education by providing students and directors from high school band programs the opportunity to receive feedback and work directly with Boyer faculty members. The day included a performance adjudicated by the Temple faculty; an ensemble clinic with renowned band pedagogue, Dr. Deborah Confredo; interactive master classes presented for all instruments by Philadelphia Orchestra members; and a performance by the Temple University Symphonic Band.

With classical, jazz, and rock selections, the CHS band program presents its spring concert Wednesday, May 1 at 7:30 p.m. in Stretton Hall.
