Junior Ifenna Amaefuna Wins Regional Brain Bee

CHS Students at Philadelphia Brain Bee At this past weekend’s regional Brain Bee at the University of Pennsylvania, Cheltenham students took three of the top four places, including junior Ifenna Amaefuna, who won the competition. Sophomore Rajakavi Boominathan took third, freshman Conrad Schaumburg took fourth and freshmen Teddy Perez and Raffi Perez, sophomore Ben Soboloff and junior Serena Sohmen all advanced to the third round. The students prepared for the competition by reading the book Brain Facts in order to answer questions related to the brain and neuroscience. Congratulations to the team on an excellent showing, and good luck to Amaefuna as he advances to the National Brain Bee event in Washington, D.C., April 12 - 14.
