CHS Black Scholars Win MLK Jeopardy

CHS Black Scholars The Cheltenham High School Black Scholars squeaked past a team from Arcadia University to win the MLK Jr. Jeopardy Bowl on Monday, Jan. 21 at Arcadia’s “Youth Forum 2019.” Under the leadership of faculty advisor Melanie Jackson, the CHS Black Scholars won the opening round against Springfield Township High School’s Voices of Excellence in categories such as “Martin Luther King Jr.”, “Arcadia University History,” “NAACP History” and “Cheltenham Area History.” The CHS team included seniors Analise Malcolm, Kaisa Codner and Camille Ross, junior Ifenna Amaefuna and sophomores Quincy Rhoades and Venus Agbadan. The forum was a collaboration with the Cheltenham area branch of the NAACP and Arcadia student clubs Black Awareness Society, POWER (Pushing Our Women of color to Excel in the Real world) and Scarlet Steppers.
