Panther Academy Summer School Producing Record Results
This summer, students needing to recover credits at the Panther Academy produced record results. Nearly 83 percent of the enrolled students completed at least 90 percent of the course work. Of the students who completed 90 percent of the work online, 99 percent passed. Nearly 18 percent of the students received grades of 90 or more in courses such as Healthy Living, World History, Pre-Calculus, Geometry and United States History.
“Our students did very well,” said Panther Academy Administrator Christine Zubairu. “It was a total team effort, as students, families and faculty and staff at the PantherAcademy collaborated to ensure record rates of completion and grades.”
Panther Academy students could complete their English, social studies, science and math coursework online through the Montgomery County Intermediate Unit's Montgomery Virtual Program. Additional supports were provided at Cheltenham High School four days a week from late June through mid-August.
