With food trucks for every taste, a dunk tank featuring CSD teachers and administrators, kids’ activities and silent auction and raffle with fabulous prizes, the fifth annual Cheltenham School District Foundation's Food Truck Jamboree held on Saturday, Sept. 22 at CHS raised funds for innovative educator grants. According to event chair Tracy Brown and Foundation President Laura Baldwin, more than 1,000 guests of all ages attended the event.
The silent auction included more than 30 premium items, such as tickets to Justin Timberlake, 2019 CHS Commencement, and Philadelphia Union - Minnesota United, and a full week at LifeSeeds Day Camp and Cheltenham pools family pool membership for this coming summer. Including raffle items, such as gift cards from local dining, clothing and entertainment-related merchants, the silent auction raised $800 more than the previous year.
The foundation wishes to express its gratitude to the many benefactors, talented performers, families, students, township officials, teachers and administration who helped make this year’s event so successful. Unclaimed raffle prizes remain from the silent suction. Check your tickets and bring any winners to the Administration Building (2000 Ashbourne Rd., Elkins Park) to claim your prizes.
