CBK Gets Groovy at Black History Hip Hop Club Performance

Dr. CJ(Feb. 29, 2024) Cedarbrook’s Hip Hop club got into the groove Thursday morning as part of the school’s Black History Month celebration. The club celebrated its fifth year by performing dances inspired by previous performances. Students also surprised the club’s founder, former CBK vice principal Dr. Adicia Cohen Johnson, who recently retired, with a performance of her spoken word poem “I Can’t Breathe.” The student body was treated to a preview of the CBK spring musical  “The Wiz” with two performances from the cast. The show ended with a rendition of “Joyful Joyful” from the Cedarbrook Choir.
