Sophomore Violinist Qualifies for Regionals

adora with her violin(Feb. 20, 2024) After performing at the recent District 11 re-auditions at Harriton High School, sophomore violinist Adora Abdul qualified as one of a six students from across Montgomery and Bucks Counties to continue on to the Region VI Orchestra Festival. The regional festival will be held at CB West High School March 21-23. One of four CHS instrumentalists to re-audition, Abdul and her schoolmates had a great learning experience at the festival and thoroughly enjoyed performing with the guest conductor Paul Bryan.

The PMEA District 11 comprises all levels of public, private, parochial, college and university, as well as retired music educators, administrators and music industry representatives from throughout Bucks and Montgomery Counties. The organization aims to advance the study of music education throughout the commonwealth and encourage excellence in the study and teaching of music. The association supports and promotes quality music education through statewide workshops, conferences, performances and festivals.
