Senior Goldfarb Earns Recognitions at SkillsUSA District Leadership Conference

goldfarb(Dec. 7, 2023) A student in EASTERN’s Design, Photography and Illustration program, senior Marin Goldfarb earned multiple recognitions at the recent SkillsUSA District 2 Leadership Conference at Kalahari Resorts in Pocono Manor, Pa. Approximately 250 students from six different career and technical centers from Bucks, Delaware, and Montgomery Counties attended the conference.

Goldfarb, who will attend Marywood University in Scranton to major in graphic design and minor in illustration, earned District 2’s Outstanding Student Award and the coveted Leadership Award for guiding her team to a first place finish at the conference. In  addition, she received gold medals in the door sign and cheer categories. 

“It’s extremely gratifying to receive recognition for my work at EASTERN,” said Goldfarb. “To be able to see my work on a large scale and have it viewed by people is an amazing feeling I’d love to pursue in the future.

“EASTERN has taught me a wide array of skills I wouldn't have been able to learn anywhere else and provides me with tools and connections that I will hold on to for my career,” she added.

Other Cheltenham students did well, including silver medals for Aneesa Anderson (Culinary Arts) and Miyah Bailey (Cosmetology) and a bronze medal for Arianna Davis (Design, Photography, and Illustration).
