PBL12 Launches "PBL Farmacy"

students in pbl(October 11, 2023) For their senior design project, Project Based Learning (PBL) seniors have launched the “PBL Farmacy,” an artisanal agri-business dedicated to developing and marketing botanical based, sustainable products.

Their product line will utilize flowers and herbs they are growing in the PBL hydroponics lab, which the seniors designed and installed in the CHS STEM Center earlier this year.

PBL seniors recently visited Bottle Underground, a community-based glass recycling company creating a circular glass economy by reusing, upcycling, and downcycling donated jars and bottles, from which “PBL Farmacy” will be sourcing jars for some of their products.  Students toured the facility, volunteered for a service project, and even tried their hand at glassblowing.

Stay tuned for information about purchasing items from “PBL Farmacy,” which will be available in time for winter holiday shopping. All proceeds from this venture will support this and other PBL projects at CHS.
