Jaclyn DiGianivittorio Joins CSD as Supervisor of Special Education for Grades 5-6 and Autistic Support
(September 29, 2022) With nearly a decade of teaching experience, Jaclyn DiGianivittorio has been named supervisor of special education for grades 5-6 and autistic support at Cheltenham School District.
“I am very excited to join the Cheltenham School District family. In my role as a special education supervisor, I hope to support students, families, and teachers in the special education process,” said DiGianivittorio. “I plan to help oversee and possibly develop processes and procedures that support the implementation of special education programs and services. My priority is to develop clear lines of communication to increase transparency among the programs I oversee, as well as support the inclusion of our students so they benefit from their least restrictive environment.”
Most recently, DiGianivittorio served as an emotional support teacher at Norristown High School (2019-2022). Prior, she was the emotional support teacher for fourth grade at Walnut Street Elementary School in Darby, Pa. (2017- 2019); and the autistic support teacher for kindergarten through second grade at William D. Kelley STEM School in Philadelphia (2015- 2017).
DiGianivittorio has two master’s degrees, one in secondary education from Kutztown University with a concentration in instruction and curriculum and principal certification; and another in special education with an autism endorsement and ESL certification from Arcadia University. She earned her bachelor’s degree in early childhood (PreK-4) and special education (PreK-8) from Arcadia University.
