Myers Students Donate Money, Pet Supplies to SPCA

SPCA visit

The Montgomery County SPCA and its four-legged mascot, a 5-year-old cavachon mix named Teddy, paid a visit to Myers Elementary on Thursday to collect the fruits of the labor Myers students put in over the past few months. Black Girls Slime, the company Myers students Anylah Lofton, Cecelia Barry-Bradley, PriyaRose Bowleg, and Zoey Lewis created in March, gave the SPCA a check for more than $400. The group raised the funds from selling homemade slime at Family Night at the Myers Book Fair in March. The SPCA also received pet supplies, including food, leashes, collars, brushes and combs that the Myers Student Council collected in a March drive.
