Glenside Elementary Reaches Fidelity to Tier 1 PBIS

pbis logo (June 8, 2022) Glenside Elementary has reached fidelity to Tier 1 Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) for the 2021-2022 school year. All four of the Cheltenham School District’s elementary schools accomplished this recognition.

“The Glenside teaching and learning community is excited about reaching fidelity. We've worked hard to reimagine a climate of genuine warmth, care and joy,” said Glenside Principal Michelle Robinson. “I am excited that we have achieved it. Our motto this year was ‘And How are the Children?’ I am happy to share that the children are well, which means our community is well!”

Reaching fidelity means based on the action steps put in place for this school year, Glenside Elementary can expect positive outcomes from PBIS based upon the systems, data, and practices. Reaching the Tier 1 scale also qualifies GES for recognition from the PaPBS Network. GES will be entered into the state-level system to be recognized for Tier 1 Initial Recognition. The school will receive official confirmation from the PaPBS Network this fall with further directions on how it will be recognized at the PaPBS Network Implementers’ Forum at the Hershey Lodge, November 30 - December 2, 2022.
