CBK Hits PBIS Goal for Third Consecutive School Year
(May 25, 2022) Congratulations to Cedarbrook Middle School for the tremendous accomplishment of meeting the criteria for implementing schoolwide Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS) with fidelity during the 2021-2022 school year. Cedarbrook Middle School has met the fidelity standards for three consecutive school years.
The Pennsylvania Positive Behavior Support Network will recognize the school on November 30, 2022, and award Cedrarbrook the state’s Tier 1 recognition. Implementation is a huge schoolwide cultural undertaking and the evaluation process to qualify is even tougher.
“This recognition is a tremendous recognition of our PBIS team and our students,” said Cedarbrook Vice Principal Jim Taylor. “We are continuing to create a school climate that impacts our entire community in positive ways: academically, socially and emotionally.”
Congratulations to the Cedarbrook PBIS team, especially Mrs. Peggy Cooper, Ms. Heather Blumberg, Ms. Kristi Perrone, Ms. Danielle Scheuller, and Dr. Adicia Cohen-Johnson, who have been on the core team for the past five years. The team also thanks Dr. Cheryl Horsey for bringing PBIS to Cedarbrook and Ms. Jessica Keene, CSD Director of Student Services, for her unwavering support.
