Cheltenham Hosts Inaugural Industry and Career Expo

expo flyer(April 22, 2022) Cheltenham High School looks to set up soon-to-be graduates for a successful future at the inaugural Career and Industry Expo on Friday, April 29. 

The event will kick off with a keynote address from the owner/ director of Premier Barber Institute, Tyrik Jackson, followed by a panel discussion including representatives from Pennsylvania Restaurant & Lodging Association, PECO, Allan Myers and Brandywine Realty Trust. 

At the expo, students will survey a collection of 40 business and industry organizations and companies from across the Delaware Valley looking to hire various positions. Students will explore career possibilities, establish connections, hear about workforce development training and learn about opportunities including entry-level positions, registered apprenticeships, on-the-job training, internships, co-ops, job shadowing, service learning, and more. In addition, students can receive free professional headshots, and complimentary haircuts courtesy of Premier Barber Institute.

Companies and organizations participating in the expo include Pennsylvania Restaurant & Lodging Association (PRLA), UPS, PECO, AQUA, Allan Myers, Cheltenham Township, ATEI/IBEW, U.S. Navy, Army National Guard, Wawa, Premier Barber Institute, MontcoWorks, Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc., TransNet (Suburban Transit Network, Inc.), Chartwells, Boilermakers Local 13, Philadelphia Building Trades Council, Brandywine Realty Trust, The Wardrobe!, Finishing Trades Institute and Brown's Family Shoprite and Fresh Grocer, among others.
