Glenside Students Learn about Eugenie Clark as Part of Women’s History Month

students learning about clark(March 31, 2022) In honor of Women’s History Month, students learned about Eugenie Clark during library class. Students read the book “The True Story of How Eugenie Clark Became the Ocean's Most Fearless Scientist” written by Jess Keating. After a class discussion on the book, kindergarten and first grade students created their own paper plate sharks. To add more fun to the shark project, video of coral reefs were playing on the smartboard to create an “under the sea” ambiance. Students in second through fourth grade read the same book and after a class discussion explored the creatures of the deep, sunken ships, and other mysterious deep ocean life.
