Myers Machines Take Core Values Award, Advance to Next Round at FIRST Robotics Lego League Qualifier
The Myers Machines, the school’s FIRST Robotics team, took home the Core Values award in the FIRST Lego League qualifier this past Saturday, Dec. 11. The squad competes in four events: Robot Game, Robot Design, Innovation Project and Core Values. As winners of the Core Values Award, the team displayed extraordinary enthusiasm and spirit, knew they could accomplish more together than they could as individuals, and showed each other and other teams respect at all times. One judge called the team’s attitude “inspiring. Your process of breaking into smaller groups to come up with ideas and then vote as a larger team showed us how great you work together!”
The team’s Robot Game scored 130. Of the 18 teams which competed, just six, including the Machines, moved forward to the PA East Championship on Saturday, Jan 29.
