Panther Alumnus Tops Billboard Smooth Jazz Playlist

A 1980 Cheltenham graduate, saxophonist Andy Snitzer tops the Billboard Smooth Jazz National Airplay list this week with the song “Non Stop” from his 2020 release “Higher.” Snitzer’s song rose as high as No. 3 in the previous 13 weeks on the charts before peaking this week.andy snizer

Gratitude to all the talented people that worked on this track, and to the Billboard panel of reporters for all those good vibes,” he posted to Facebook earlier this week.

Snitzer’s peers recognize the 2018 Grammy winner as one of the greatest contemporary jazz saxophonists of his generation, building a successful career that includes seven Sirius/XM No. 1 singles, eight Billboard top 20s, and the first Gavin smooth jazz No. 1 (January 1995). He’s toured with rock/pop legends like the Rolling Stones, Billy Joel, Paul Simon and Sting, and participated in thousands of recording sessions with a “who’s who” of music royalty, from Aretha Franklin to Jay-Z.
