Project Based Learning Senior Internship Spotlight: Trinity Burroughs and Briaire Gant
While you may have heard of HGTV’s “The Property Brothers,” let’s meet Cheltenham High School’s “Property Sisters,” seniors Trinity Burroughs and Briaire Gant, who are learning the real estate industry in their senior internship experience. The duo spend their time outside of school helping flip houses, brokering deals and learning the ins and outs of the real estate business.
“My hopes for this internship are to learn and understand the process of revamping a property, obtaining experience in this field and forming a newfound passion for real estate,” explained Burroughs. “My dreams for the internship are to connect with other hard-working women and find out why and how they began their life path.”
Trinity and Briaire’s path to real estate began with Briaire’s mom, Jasmine Williams, a long-time, Philadelphia-based real estate agent for Keller Williams. Williams was thrilled about the opportunity to serve as an internship mentor to her daughter and friend.
“When I bought my daughter her first investment property, I didn’t know the impact we could make,” said Williams, who also runs the sustainable living company Green Real Estate Mom. “This is Briaire’s senior project and what’s even more amazing and impactful is that i’m able to teach an additional student the process as well.”
“The girls will be interning with my company and get credit toward their diplomas,“ said Williams, who is enthusiastic about Cheltenham High School’s push to provide real-world job experience for young adults.
The next time you pass a house with a “FOR SALE” sign, take a look at the fine print, and see if it’s either of the CHS Property Sisters Trinity Burroughs and Briaire Gant.
