Elkins Park students took a trip to Lincoln Financial Field on Friday, February 10th to extend their lesson on sustainable energy. Lincoln Financial Stadium is home to the Philadelphia Eagles and also home to many different forms of energy, including energy derived by solar panels and wind turbines. The trip, which was arranged by Ms. Jacoby, also included a full tour inside the stadium. Students took in their surroundings as two tour guides discussed the building's history, Eagles' trivia, and fun facts about what it takes to make a professional football game happen. Inquisitive students asked about their favorite players as they toured locker rooms, the playing field, and the press box.
