CSD Students Participate In American Mathematics Challenge
Twenty-eight enthusiastic and talented math students from Cedarbrook Middle School and Cheltenham High School participated in the American Mathematics Competition on Tuesday, February 7th. The mathematics exams of the AMC 10 and the AMC 12 allow students 75 minutes to answer 25 multiple choice challenges in high school mathematics designed to promote the development and enhancement of problem-solving skills.
The AMC 10 covers the high school curriculum up to 10th grade. The AMC 12 covers the entire high school curriculum including trigonometry, advanced algebra, and advanced geometry. The AMC 10/12 is the first in a series of competitions that eventually lead all the way to the International Mathematical Olympiad.
Congratulations to all of our ardent math students who participated on Tuesday and best to all of you in reaching the next level, the American Invitational Mathematics Exam (AIME) in March.
