Spotlight on CHS Student Athletes, Afwe' Griffn and Brandon Gregory

CHS Student Athletes

Congratulations to CHS Sophomore Afwe' Griffin and CHS Senior Brandon Gregory who have achieved the following athletic accomplishments:

Afwe' Griffin is scheduled to compete in the Junior Olympics for fencing in the near future in the Cadet Women's Saber division. Afwe' began fencing last May and quickly took to the sport, achieving recognition for her prowess against both girls and boys. She currently trains four days a week at the Fencing Academy of Philadelphia and is recognized as an Advanced fencer. Afwe' will travel to Kansas in February for the Junior Olympics and surely continue to thrill all who watch her perform.

Brandon Gregory has been selected to participate in the National All American Bowl in Atlanta. Brandon was chosen for this honor by a Bowl Selection Committee from an outstanding group of thousands of high school age football players from across the country. He was named an Offense-Defense All American while attending an Offense-Defense Football Camp this past summer and invited to participate in the 11th Annual Bowl week festivities taking place in at Kennesaw University in Atlanta, GA.

Best of luck at these illustrious competitions, Afwe' and Brandon!
