After nearly a year of heartfelt fundraising, the Joe Kircher Naming Rights Committee officially presented its $20,000 naming rights fee at the October 18th Board of School Directors meeting. The funds raised guarantee that the Elkins Park School Auditorium will be renamed Kircher Hall after longtime, beloved Cheltenham School District administrator, Joseph Kircher. Mr. Kircher, who was in attendance at the Board meeting, was humbled by the committee's fundraising efforts, stating that he is immensely happy that the money will go to such a worthy cause. The $20,000 raised goes directly to the Cheltenham School District Education Foundation to be used for the enrichment of student programming. A formal ribbon cutting for Kircher Hall is scheduled for November 17th at 7 pm.
