Everyone loves a parade at Wyncote! As part of the school’s celebration of "KNOW"vember, students created their own parade. Students learned about immigrants and Tony Sarg, the originator of the balloons on display during the Macy's Day Parade, which originated as a celebration for homesick Macy’s employees. Second through fourth graders created balloon structures that could move using a coding bot, while kindergarten and first graders made parade watchers and Lego skyscrapers for the parade route. The coding bots came to Wyncote through a grant from the Cheltenham School District Foundation. The energy and cheers were amazing, and the engineering futures of these students seems quite bright.
