Timothy Holman Named Director of Facilities and Maintenance at the Cheltenham School District
ELKINS PARK, PA (October 15, 2021) - Timothy Holman has been appointed the Cheltenham School District Director of Facilities and Maintenance. Holman most recently served in the same capacity at the Pennsbury School District since 2020, and will begin his CSD tenure on Monday, Nov. 8. The board of school directors approved the appointment at its Tuesday, Oct. 12 legislative meeting.
Holman comes to Cheltenham as a transformational leader with strong communication skills who is dedicated to district-wide improvement and coaching individual employees. He possesses strong technical and working knowledge of electrical, HVAC, energy management, and hydraulic material handling equipment, in addition to the ability to negotiate and collaborate with internal departments and vendors.
At Pennsbury, Holman led a core team of front line supervisors, ensured fiscal accountability, increased productivity of the maintenance mechanics, overhauled the custodial division and streamlined the district’s grounds division. Under Holman’s leadership, Pennsbury earned the Pennsylvania School Business Officials (PASBO) Facilities Gold Award of Excellence in School Facilities.
Prior to working for Pennsbury, Holman served as the director of facilities management and services and assistant director of operations at the School District of Philadelphia (SDP). During his SDP tenure, Holman spearheaded innovative initiatives in an effort to offer the highest quality facilities for students, including retrofitting LED lighting in the schools for a savings of $300k within the next five years.
Holman attended Edinboro University of Pennsylvania, and has developed leadership skills through programs at Drexel University’s Goodwin College of Professional Studies and University of Pennsylvania (certificate in Global Leadership from the Wharton School of Business). He has also earned PASBO facilities certifications and numerous certifications and licenses related to facilities, operations, and project management.
