Myers PBIS Team To Present at 2022 PaPBS Implementers’ Forum
(June 3, 2022) The Myers Elementary PBIS team Elementary has been invited to present at the 2022 PaPBS Implementers’ Forum, a statewide event taking place in November in Hershey, Pa.
Their presentation titled “On The Right Track: PBIS and the Peace Train” will cover how Myers has established a school-wide culture that encourages students to be safe, respectful, responsible and engaged.
“This journey of molding the culture of our school through unifying the vision and approach of staff, teachers, students, and parents has been a rewarding yet challenging experience, which will absolutely continue for years to come,” said Myers Principal Jason Lytle. “ I was so proud of our implementation and recognition, but to be asked to present is a highly coveted honor.”
The culture and climate at Myers has impacted student achievement overall, thus decreasing discipline referrals. The collective efforts of the PBIS team working in tandem with instructional pushes has improved outcomes for all students.
Congratulations to the Myers PBIS team of Carli Segal (school counselor and PBIS lead); Liia Smith (3rd grade teacher); Dana Diamondstein (Title I math teacher); Erika Wimms (2nd grade teacher and CP leader); Anna Krammes (music teacher); and Jessica Keene (CSD Director of Student Services).
