Cheltenham Elementary First Graders Venturing into the Interland

Cheltenham Elementary Students Rebekah Taboada and her first grade students at Cheltenham Elementary School recently participated in the “Be Internet Awesome” program through the Donors Choose website and Google to learn responsible usage for technology, internet skills and online citizenship. Students completed “Cool to Be Kind,” one of numerous available lessons and worked on Google’s Interland game to reinforce the concepts. Most students completed up to Interland’s “Kind Kingdom” level, and several completed multiple levels. Students learned ways to avoid phishing attempts and discern what constitutes spam. Completing the program puts Cheltenham Elementary in the running to receive $100 in Donors Choose gift certificates to special projects.
