Safety and Security
“If you see something, say something” is the Cheltenham School District safety and security guiding principle. Students and staff who see anything out of the ordinary should contact school administration or law enforcement. Email general concerns or inquiries to schoolsafety@cheltenham.org.
The Cheltenham School District employs a number of school safety officers who aim to improve and upgrade our safety and security systems and protocols on a consistent basis. Preparing for myriad emergencies is critical to our efforts to provide an safe and secure learning environment for our students and staff.
Every school in the District has a comprehensive emergency plan, drafted with support from township and county emergency management officials. Reviewed and updated annually, the District safety plan features a number of emergency procedures and directives, including drill guidelines and response protocols. Each classroom in the District has a copy of the emergency response protocols and safety posters are displayed throughout the buildings.
