PRINCIPAL'S WELCOME

Welcome to Cedarbrook Middle School...home of the wildcats

Dear Cedarbrook Community,

I started my CSD career riding the Peace Train at Myers Elementary, became a Wyncote Lion, and now as interim principal, I’m eager to become a Cedarbrook Wildcat. I am full of optimism and hope that this new beginning offers us. I can’t imagine a more exciting time to be part of this richly diverse learning community where high expectations for teaching and learning and behavior are the norm.

During my 15 years in this district, I know first-hand that Cedarbrook teachers work tirelessly to develop lessons and implement an engaging, culturally relevant, standards-based curriculum for our students. Teaching and learning will remain the heart of our mission at Cedarbrook, and our students will be our first priority.

That said, I value your partnership and participation in our school’s life. I will strive to maintain an open-door policy. My leadership is deeply rooted in relationships and grounded in collaboration. I hope much of my time will be spent outside the office with our teachers and students. Please know I am an email away at jtaylor@cheltenham.org. I will respond as quickly as possible, but please allow 24 hours for a response.

I’m thankful for this opportunity to serve Cedarbrook Middle School. We will build on its rich legacy and lean into a future built on kindness and respect.  Thank you for your support and confidence.  As always, feel free to be in touch with any questions or concerns.

Fondly,

James M. Taylor
Interim Principal
