Facilities & Maintenance
The Facilities & Maintenance Department is responsible for the general management of the District’s real property assets. It forecasts future facility requirements based on growth projections, develops capital investment programs, and manages the planning, design, and construction of capital projects. The department also provides environmental, hazardous waste, maintenance, and resource management services. The department also provides several district centralized services. The mission of the Facilities, Operations and Planning Department is to provide safe, clean, well-maintained, temperature controlled and environmentally-sound facilities for all students, staff, administrators and community members of the Cheltenham School District.
The department is responsible for long-range planning, renovation, and construction of new buildings and the demolition of buildings that are not cost-effective to repair. Also, the department strives to ensure efficient, effective, maintenance, and cleaning of all buildings; mail, package, and supply delivery; trash removal and recycling; snow and ice removal; furniture setup for events and furniture moving. We will strive to institute best practices in our pursuit of excellent service to the students, staff, administrators, and community of the Cheltenham School District.
