CHS senior Brianna Wilson has been named a semifinalist in the 2025 Coca-Cola Scholar program. One of 70 Pennsylvania semifinalists, Wilson is one of 1,336 students chosen from across the country “based on their academic excellence, leadership, and service demonstrated in school and community activities.” According to the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation‘s announcement, 250 will advance as regional finalists, with 150 becoming Coca-Cola Scholars and receiving a $20,000 college scholarship.
“I applied for the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation Scholarship because it recognizes leadership in service in our communities while providing funding for post-graduation endeavors,” said Wilson, who has been a student-teacher at Myers, teaching computer science to elementary school students through Girls Who Code, and creates hygiene care packages for Enon Church and The Giving Tree.
Waiting to declare her college decision until April, Wilson is looking to study political science, focusing on public policy through a pre-law track. While keeping her options open, Wilson is looking at Spelman College or Columbia University.
A joint effort of Coca-Cola bottlers across the country and the Coca-Cola Company, the Coca-Cola Scholars Program is the largest corporate-sponsored, achievement-based scholarship program in the United States. With the addition of the 37th class, the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation will have provided more than 7,050 Coke Scholars nationwide with over $87 million in scholarships since 1986.
