  • 2025-2026 Spotlights

Congratulations to senior Ingrid Kary who was recently awarded a $2,500 National Merit Scholarship for academic excellence. A member of the National Honor Society, Kary plans to attend Princeton University this fall to study molecular biology.

“When I received this award,” Kary said, “I was shocked and extremely grateful to be recognized for my work in the classroom. I also felt deeply appreciative for all the teachers who made it possible for me to succeed throughout my high school career, including but not limited to Ms. Ricci, Ms. Putterman, Ms. Reed, Mr. Berntsen, and Ms. Hogan.

A volunteer at the Cheltenham Township Library System and SAT tutor, Kary is deeply involved in theater activities at Cheltenham, serving as a director for the student-run Eastern Standard Theatre company, stage manager for CHS Musical Theatre, and a long-term volunteer for Cedarbrook Theatre. They play the clarinet and were a member of the Cheltenham pep and jazz bands. They were also president of the CHS Science Olympiad, secretary for the Spanish National Honor Society, and an officer with the Computer Science National Honor Society.

Congratulations and best wishes to Ingrid Kary!
