Tamir Erwin-Murray’s entrepreneurial journey is rooted in vision, ambition, and resilience. As a junior at Cheltenham High School and a student in the cosmetology program at the EASTERN Center for Arts and Technology, he’s already leaving a mark, not just on his school community, but also on the world of beauty and barbering. At just 15, he founded the business MirCutzzProductionsLLC, which is partnering with other beauty professionals to serve classmates during prom season with affordable mobile services for haircuts, nails, braids, and flowers.

“My passion started when I was a toddler,” Erwin-Murray shared. “I always had a burning desire to start my own business. And this is still the very beginning.”

That passion has transformed into purpose. A self-taught barber who learned to cut hair by watching YouTube, Erwin-Murray took his curiosity and developed a specialty in temple fades. He is now enrolled in a professional cosmetology program, honing his skills further and building strong bonds with mentors and classmates—despite being the only male in a class of 25.

“I have a very interesting perspective as an EASTERN student,” he said. “I’ve built incredibly strong relationships with staff and teachers. I love EASTERN.”

Erwin-Murray views his journey as more than just skill. It’s about impact, he said.

“My prom initiative demonstrates my dedication to uplifting others, making quality services more accessible for my peers,” he said. “My vision extends far beyond the school halls. I plan to provide virtual classes, monetize my content, and continue partnering with larger companies.”

At the core of it all is a deep sense of gratitude and responsibility. “Giving back is just in my nature. It’s something I tell myself I have to do to survive,” he explained.
Erwin-Murray is not just cutting hair—he’s carving out a legacy, blending service, entrepreneurship, and authenticity.
