GLENSIDE HOSTS ANNUAL THIRD GRADE WAX MUSEUM

Glenside Elementary’s third grade classes participated in the “wax museum” project this week. Students dressed as their hero and memorized a speech about their life. Students brought their heroes to life by choosing a pose that best embodied them. When someone from the audience came up to them and pushed their button, the students awakened and recited the speech before returning to their pose. This year's Wax Museum is bittersweet for some because two of the third-grade teachers, Kim Winton and Misty Wagner, will be retiring at the end of this year. Winton has been the leader and driving force of the wax museum project for more than 20 years. This year’s wax museum had a plethora of heroes, including Suni Lee, Mr. Beast, Albert Einstein, Barry Black, Taylor Swift, Jason Kelce, Simone Biles, Jesus, Maya Angelou, and George Washington Carver, to name a few.
