Cheltenham High School alum Andre Kristopher Templeman recently released the book “Andre’s Roadmap to Friendship: How to Make Friends and Stay Connected One Step at a Time.” In addition to being an author, Andre Kristopher is autistic, and was a member of the CHS Life Skills cohort.

His own experiences with finding, making, and keeping friendships helped shape the story and message behind the book. Andre Kristopher’s journey reflects his growing independence, willingness to try new experiences, and desire to help others feel more connected. He hopes sharing his experiences will help create a more inclusive world.

Released on September 26, “Andre’s Roadmap to Friendship: How to Make Friends and Stay Connected One Step at a Time” is the first in a series of practical “how to” books from Andre Kristopher. His next book will focus on navigating healthy romantic relationships.

A proud 2020 graduate of Cheltenham High School, Andre Kristopher attended Millersville University in 2021, where he lived on campus, gained new experiences, and developed greater independence.

Andre Kristopher works as a job coach assistant at Woods Services’ Gardner Education Center, where he assists the horticulture job coach and supports students with developmental, behavioral, and learning needs. The Gardner Education Center serves students with intellectual and developmental disabilities, autism, multiple disabilities, and emotional support needs.

Outside of work, Andre Kristopher is an active Special Olympics athlete with the Wicked Fast team in Montgomery County and enjoys traveling with Compass Point.

During his time at CHS, Andre Kristopher served as the Panther mascot at sporting events for three years and was a pioneer in unified sports. He participated on the school’s inaugural unified cheerleading and unified track teams and was also a member of Cheltenham’s first unified bocce team.

Way to go, Andre!
