ABOUT MS. LOWMAN | SCHOOL BOARD DIRECTORA cum laude graduate of Harvard Law, Ms. Jennifer Lowman has worked in the nonprofit arena for over 15 years. Most recently she served for 2 1/2 years as a grant writer and then executive director of the West Philadelphia Alliance for Children (WePAC) — a nonprofit that promotes childhood literacy by engaging volunteers in Philadelphia public elementary schools through reopening and staffing libraries. She worked for a dozen years at Philadelphia’s Education Law Center as director of client services / training and senior staff attorney. Throughout her career, Ms. Lowman has advised and trained families and advocates on the implementation of the rights of public school students in the areas of school enrollment, discipline, special education and other areas. She also represented students and their families in, among other areas, enrollment, discipline, special education, and charter school-related issues. A Cheltenham Township resident since 2007, Ms. Lowman has been involved in a number of community- and school-based organizations.
