Each school in the district has a safety committee, which meets on a monthly basis to discuss issues specific to their building and update safety protocols. These committees organize and conduct regular school safety drills and update building emergency plan, as needed. Each school designates a committee member to sit on the district safety team. This representative serves as a liaison between district and teachers/staff. In addition to school representatives, the district safety team includes select administrators.
The district is working proactively to institute a district-level threat assessment committee made up of representatives from each school to review student behavior and help address a broad array of problematic behavior by developing intervention plans to our support students.
