Degrees and Certifications:
B.A. Spanish and Education, West Chester University M. Ed Cabrini College
Natalie Reed | World Languages (Spanish)
From the time I can remember talking, I remember wanting to be a teacher. Granted I didn’t actually have a real classroom with real students until I got hired at Cheltenham in 2007, but as a young girl, playing school was my favorite pastime. Raised by a hard-working and well-respected teacher, I saw first-hand one man’s ability to change the lives of many and positively impact their futures. I watched numerous lifelong relationships/mentorships form, which made choosing education as my profession something I knew I was destined to do.
Additionally, learning a second language has always been a point of interest for me. I first fell in love with the Spanish language in a middle school exploratory program. Throughout my high school and college years, I worked tirelessly on my skills, as I not only developed proficiency but also a genuine passion and appreciation for the language, its culture and the people that speak it.
I have lived in both Spain and Peru where I participated in full immersion programs. I interviewed for Cheltenham 11 years ago on the same day that I got off my plane returning from Peru. I have proudly been teaching alongside this amazing staff and educating our unique, diverse and truly awesome student body ever since.
