About Our Library

  • We promote a love of reading!

The Wyncote Elementary School Library has a deep, rich collection of fiction and non-fiction titles, with a total of approximately 23,000 items. Students use the Follett Destiny Online Catalog with Kindle Fire handheld computers to search for materials in this online catalog and learn to locate them on our shelves.  This has made finding books easier, as well as lots of fun. The library strives to make students become lovers of books and excited readers, which is the basis for becoming productive learners, effective thinkers, and life-long learners. Students access great books and have the opportunity to choose their own selections which motivates them to read more. Like most acquired skills, the more kids read, the greater their reading skills become, which ultimately shows benefits in all academic subjects.
